Warehouse Driver

Baker Electric has a great opportunity for a driver in our LA region. If you have experience driving trucks, trailers, or other large vehicles, we'd love to talk to you about this opportunity! The Warehouse Driver is responsible for the delivery of construction project materials and equipment to job sites throughout Southern California. This is a non-union opportunity with Baker Electric in our Los Angeles region.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Responsible for transporting stock from the warehouse to construction job sites.

* Assist in the loading of trucks and trailers to prepare for transit.

* Unload material and equipment at job site to appropriate receiver.

* Provide delivery updates to warehouse management and Foreman throughout day as requested.

* Create paperwork if none is provided from jobsite.

* Assist in the inspection and light maintenance of Company vehicles to ensure safe use, as directed.

* Ensure all tools distributed to a jobsite are in proper working order and are complete with all accessories and check that they are returned in the same condition.

* Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and material according to production schedules.

* Provide back-up warehouse operations support as needed, such as, stocking, staging, and inventory management.

**EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION****:**

* High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience.

* 2+ years of driving experience in a commercial size vehicle (15+ trailer)

* 1+ year of warehouse operations experience is required

* Ability to lift up to 50lbs

* Reliable and predictable attendance is required

* Forklift experience is a plus

* This job is contingent upon passing a criminal background check, Motor Vehicle Report, and drug testing.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:

*Standard office environment. Individual will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Occasionally may have to lift boxes full of materials for purposes of setup of programs, typically 50 pounds or less.
