Field Support Technician

Our client is seeking a Field Support Technician to join their organization. The Field Support Technician will be responsible for providing on-site support, maintenance, and repair services for our forklifts and attachments at customer locations. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach to ensure the efficient operation of our equipment and the satisfaction of our clients.

Field Support Technician Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support-related inquiries as required.
• Assist various dealers with product-related troubleshooting inquiries.
• Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic malfunctions and assist with the required solution.
• Ability to travel where required on a scheduled and non-scheduled basis.
• Be able to make rational decisions concerning products, quality, and customer relations.
• Participate in various team-related functions and contribute technical opinions where required.
• Recommend process improvements to increase job efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform other functions as directed.

Field Support Technician Qualifications

• 7 years and experience with hydraulic/mechanical devices or products.
• Lift truck knowledge needed - Mobile Hydraulics/Lift Truck Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to meet and respond to customers in face-to-face situations.
• Ability to participate in a team-concept environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows and MS Office.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Requires a self-motivated and self-starting personality.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment, independently, and remotely.
• Ability to work with basic hand tools.
• Able to solve problems with limited resources.
• Strong electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills are preferred.
• Ability to drive a lift truck desired.
• Extensive travel.
• Must have a valid driver s license and good driving record.

Preferred:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
